Career-defining moment for Sol Ruca in WWE as she causes controversial finish to title page

Revenge was all Sol Ruca had in mind when she ran into the 3rd March episode of NXT, but she might have walked out with bigger ideas in her mind, as she caused controversy in a title match while having a career-defining moment.

Sol Ruca, as many of you know, is undeniably one of the hottest names in all of WWE today. Main roster viewers got a glimpse of her at Saturday Night’s Main Event last December when she defeated Grand Slam Champion and 2024 Royal Rumble winner, Bayley. She has been making waves in NXT, and much of it has been with her now-former partner, Zaria. Last week, when Sol Ruca faced Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Title, Zaria finally snapped and turned on her, ending the incredible duo of ZaRuca. The Australian star then demanded a title shot from Jacy Jayne, and she got it in this week’s episode.

However, controversy ensued as Sol Ruca interfered in the match. After taking out 2/3rds of Fatal Influence, she slid into the ring and hit an incredible Double Sol-Snatcher to cause a Double-DQ. After that, she smacked Fallon Henley again, this time with the NXT Women’s Title. Holding the title in her hand, it was clear what her goal was as Ruca had a career-defining moment.

Ruca is already a former NXT Women’s North American Champion, and she technically didn’t lose the title herself, as it was Zaria who stepped in her place and defended the title on her behalf. Unfortunately for her, Blake Monroe would topple Zaria.

For Ruca, this is a huge stepping stone, and NXT authority figure Robert Stone would then mention in a backstage interview that by this Sunday at Vengeance Day, he will make a decision about the Women’s Championship. All directions are pointing to a Triple Threat match between Jacy Jayne, Zaria, and Ruca.
