BREAKING: Pete Dunne announces the return of original WWE character
It has been seven months since the WWE Universe has seen Pete Dunne, since the former champion has been under a mask as Rayo Americano since the summer of 2025.
Dunne last appeared in Bloodspot XIV last August, and ahead of WWE SmackDown, he has announced that his character will return to his roots at Bloodspot XV on Friday, April 17th.
Thanks for the submission!
Masashi Takeda takes on Pete Dunne as the clash of styles takes center stage, and the MMA-born Crazy Kid takes on The Bruiserweight.
Pete Dunne was able to pick up the win last time he appeared in Bloodsport, and he will be hoping to keep his streak alive at WrestleMania weekend, when he takes on Takeda.
Will Pete Dunne be part of WrestleMania 42 with El Grande Americano?
WWE has put a lot of time and money into his new character, who is aligned with Tyler Bate, who’s Bravo Americano. The two men have become part of a stable with El Grande Americano, and it seems that Ludwig Kaiser’s Americano could be set to collide with Chad Gable’s Americano at WrestleMania.
The two men have battled it out since Gable’s Royal Rumble return, and WrestleMania could be the place where the two men finally face off with both masks on the line.
Kaiser’s Americano has become popular in AAA during Gable’s absence, but now it seems that Gable is back and ready to take back the character that he created. If Gable is able to win, then it’s unclear what this means for Tyler Bate and Dunne, who would be without their main stablemate.
Bate and Dunne’s careers together date back to 2017 and the duo could easily revert back to their tag team without masks if the decision was made for one El Grande Americano to walk out of WrestleMania.
