Blake Monroe leaves WWE personality confused with huge demand
Blake Monroe made a huge demand of a WWE personality. This demand left him confused.
Blake Monroe is one of the top stars in NXT’s women’s division. Immediately upon arriving in NXT, she found success by capturing the Women’s North American Championship. In recent weeks, Blake has been busy feuding with Jaida Parker. The former AEW star was able to defeat Parker at Vengeance Day.
Thanks for the submission!
Tonight on WWE NXT, the former Mariah May was interviewed backstage by Blake Howard. The former AEW star expressed her desire to compete at Stand & Deliver. At the end of the segment, Monroe asked Howard to change his name since it belongs to her.
“You’re going to need to do something about your name because that like other things around here belongs to me”
Blake Monroe revealed why she wanted to sign with WWE
Blake Monroe had a successful run in AEW, where she wrestled under the ring name Mariah May. She even captured the Women’s World Championship. Despite this, she decided to leave the Jacksonville-based promotion and sign with WWE.
Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Blake revealed that she wanted to sign with WWE due to the depth of the women’s division.
“I wouldn’t call myself a match of the year wrestler. I appreciate when people say that, but for me, I’m always like what can I do better? One of the big reasons I wanted to come to WWE was because the women’s division is so deep. They really put an emphasis on their women. So that was a really attractive point for me. But also NXT, I wanted to train more. I knew there were areas of my work that I wasn’t happy with and there were areas that I’m naturally good at,” said Blake Monroe. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
It remains to be seen what’s next for Blake in WWE.
