‘Baby Randy Orton’ teases drastic WWE character change: “You woke the monster”
One of WWE NXT’s most prominent young stars recently attacked Ethan Page, the NXT North American Champion. In the process, he earned himself a title match.
This past week, Myles Borne ran out to attack Page and demanded a title match by placing a chair around his ankle. Page initially declined, but later accepted the challenge. However, Borne kicked the chair and caused damage to his ankle anyway. On Instagram, he uploaded a photo from the segment this past week, with the following caption:
Thanks for the submission!
“You woke the monster. But I choose the target.”

So far, Borne has been rather hesitant to pull the trigger. However, after being goaded into smashing his ankle this past week on NXT, we might see a new side of him. It could even lead to him becoming more ruthless, similar to Randy Orton in the 2010s.
Ethan Page retained his WWE NXT title before being challenged by Myles Borne
Before his confrontation with Borne, Ethan Page was in action this past week on the black and silver show. He retained his NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill after hitting him with a Twisted Grin.
However, after the match, he attacked Hill along with the Vanity Project. The assault continued till Borne came out to make the save. The ‘Baby Randy Orton’ equalised the numbers game by utilising a steel chair. It was the same weapon he used to get himself a title match next week on the developmental brand.
Page claimed Borne was not man enough to pull the trigger and hurt him, which is what pushed him to snap. All Ego has been champion for 272 days, but his reign could be cut short after he hurt his ankle.
It now remains to be seen whether Myles Borne will be able to dethrone Page to win his first major championship in his WWE career.
