AJ Lee Teases Massive Return For WrestleMania 42


WWE Superstar AJ Lee dropped a major WrestleMania 42 return tease on social media. Her previous appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All was in 2015.

The 39-year-old returned to the Stamford-based promotion last year in September to help her husband, CM Punk, against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. Continuing her rivalry with The Man, Lee defeated the Irish star at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event to win the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

AJ Lee recently took to Instagram to post multiple pictures from her recent birthday celebrations. In the caption, The Geek Goddess noted that it was an “abs-breakup post,” as she had churros, cakes, and cookies during the weekend. However, she further claimed that her abs might be back by WrestleMania, hinting that she could be set to wrestle her first match at The Show of Shows in over a decade.

“Thank you for all the bday love and messages! I had the best week of championships, churros, cakes, and cookies so this is an abs-breakup post. They might be back by mania, I have no regrets,” Lee wrote.

AJ Lee could face former WWE Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 42

Last week on Monday Night RAW, Bayley challenged AJ Lee for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship. It was her first title defense. The two veteran performers went back-and-forth in an engaging contest that ended with the champion retaining her title. Lee made The Role Model tap out to the Black Widow to score the win.

However, Lee’s celebration was cut short as she got ambushed by her arch rival Becky Lynch. The Man brutally assaulted the Women’s Intercontinental Champion to make it clear that the rivalry between the two stars is far from over. Lee and Lynch are likely to continue their feud and compete for the gold at The Showcase of Immortals next month.
