AEW World Champion MJF: “There’s no more cancers”
The current AEW World Champion, MJF claimed that no more “cancers” are left in the locker room anymore. The Salt of the Earth also addressed anyone who still wants to be elsewhere.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman is known for being pretty bold and staying in his onscreen character even outside the ring. He currently represents AEW as the World Champion and has been doing media rounds ahead of the Revolution 2026 pay-per-view. He will be in the main event of the PPV, defending the World title against Hangman Page in a Texas Deathmatch.
Speaking with John Alba of SI ahead of the event this Sunday, MJF addressed the former AEW wrestlers who didn’t want to be in the company and referred to them as “cancers.” The Salt of the Earth also said that if there is still someone like that left in the locker room, they will be sent packing:
“There’s no bulls**t. There’s no more cancers. There’s no more a**holes that think they’re too cool for school. There’s no more shmegegges that think they should be elsewhere. Everybody in this promotion wants to be in this promotion, and if you don’t, you get weeded out pretty damn fast because we’ll beat the s**t out of you and send you packing.” [H/T Fightful]

MJF makes a controversial comment about his AEW Revolution opponent
At Revolution 2026, MJF will put his AEW World title on the line against Hangman Page in a Texas Deathmatch. Speaking on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Max claimed that Hangman doesn’t have a great gas tank in the ring like him:
“I’m gonna rope-a-dope this guy a little bit, Muhammad Ali style. I’m gonna tire him out just by ducking and dodging him. You know, he’s a great brawler, but he doesn’t have a great gas tank like I do. I have an immense amount of cardio. I mean I’ve been in I was in the greatest Ironman match of all time that lasted well over an hour,” said Max.
It will be interesting to see who walks out of Revolution as the World Champion.
