A WWE veteran just revealed he received a special surprise. This happened ahead of WrestleMania.

DDP is best known for his time in WCW and WWE. During his time in WCW, he won the World Title three times and was one of the promotion’s top stars. While he did not win many titles in the WWE, he was inducted into the company’s Hall of Fame in 2017. In recent years, Diamond Dallas Page has been focused on his business, DDP Yoga. He has helped several former wrestlers overcome mobility challenges through his program.

Recently, Diamond Dallas Page celebrated his 70th birthday. His wife and daughter threw him a surprise birthday party. The WCW legend took to social media to reveal what a special night he had.

“Well, my wife @PaygeMcMahon & daughter Brittany threw me an intimate (kept it to 35 friends & family all in ATL) Surprise 70th birthday party. Gotta be honest, I never saw it coming! I thought we were just having dinner with our friends Rob & Gina at @roseandcrownATL in Atlanta. Wow, Chef Josh knocked the branzino & spinalis out of the park! Don’t even get me started on the spectacular, gluten-free cake from pastry Chef Alicia at Pum’s Sweets in Dunwoody, GA. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”

DDP urged WWE to push LA Knight

LA Knight is one of the most popular WWE stars on the roster. He has managed to get over on his own through his promo skills. Despite his rising popularity, the sports entertainment juggernaut has been reluctant about pushing him into the main event spot. He has had chances to win a World Title but has always fallen short.

During a recent interview on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, DDP was asked about the comparison between his career and LA Knight. The WCW veteran praised LA Knight’s skills and urged the Stamford-based promotion to give him the ball.

“I love that kid, man. I love the tenacity of the stick to it, it took him a long time to get to that character. And he was good before that, but now he’s great. Hopefully at some point he gets a chance to really get that ball, because he can run with it, give him that damn ball, because that cat, he’s got it all,” he said.

It remains to be seen if WWE will finally push LA Knight.
