29-year-old WWE star says Alexa Bliss is the reason she’s a wrestler

Alexa Bliss seems happy in her tag team with Charlotte Flair. However, she is not stopping to get her singles glory and is gunning for the WWE Women’s Championship. Alexa plans to win the Elimination Chamber again this weekend and punch her ticket to WrestleMania. Before her big clash, though, Bliss was lauded and given flowers for being such an inspiration. She was lauded for her match with an NXT star.

During an interview with Denise Salcedo, the former NXT Women’s Champion, Tatum Paxley spoke about Alexa Bliss. She recalled getting to wrestle her at NXT: Homecoming. Even then, she felt a little taken aback by the thought of telling Alexa that she inspired her. The Little Miss Bliss is the reason Paxley is here, pursuing professional wrestling, and that too in WWE.

The 29-year-old then recalled their tag team match, Tatum and Izzi Dame vs. Alexa and Charlotte Flair, a perfect scenario. This was because Izzi’s idol is Flair, and hers is Bliss. Paxley, from the moment she got into WWE, thought about facing Alexa and wondered where she would get a chance.

Later, she mentioned actually standing in front of the Five Feet of Fury and exclaiming to herself, wondering how it even happened.

“I don’t know if I’ve said this to her face. It’s like one of those things where I’m like, ‘Man, do I just go up to her and say you’re the reason I’m here?’ When I was with my former friend, Izzi Dame, which this is like such a crazy day for us. Her idol is Charlotte Flair. Mine’s Alexa Bliss, and we got to have a match against the two of them. We’re just like, ‘Whoa, this is so perfect!’ I’m like, ‘Will I ever get the chance to stand in the ring with Alexa Bliss?’ And then I was. I’m standing there staring at her like, ‘Oh my gosh… how did this happen?'” said Tatum Paxley.

Alexa Bliss’ record in the Elimination Chamber

Back in 2018, the first Women’s Elimination Chamber was held. That was won by Alexa Bliss, where she retained her RAW Women’s Championship. Years later, she again competed in the steel-podded structure. However, she was unsuccessful that time, being pinned by Bianca Belair, the eventual winner.

Last year, after returning from her nearly two-year maternity leave, Bliss again had Elimination Chamber on her mind. This time in Toronto, Alexa still did not make it to WrestleMania’s title match, where, coincidentally, Belair again won the bout. This time, too, she has plans to win the Elimination Chamber and challenge Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.
