Mr Hamilton was last seen on Saturday 28 March, with investigating officers keen to piece together his movements between then and 2 April.

Detective Chief Inspector Jennifer McCulloch said: “Our thoughts remain with Craig’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time, and we are continuing to support them as the investigation progresses.

“Extensive enquiries are ongoing and we have a dedicated team of specialist officers working through all lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances.

“This includes officers going door-to-door in the local area, as well as thorough analysis of the available CCTV footage from the area.”

Police Scotland has launched Operation Woodman and has urged anyone with information to contact the inquiry team.
