A man in his 40s has been critically injured after being struck by a vehicle in south Etobicoke.

Toronto police say a pedestrian was struck just before 8 p.m. Thursday in the Lake Shore Boulevard West and Brow Drive area.

Paramedics tell CityNews the man was taken to the hospital with injuries described as severe and life-threatening.

Investigators say the driver remained at the scene.
