Man arrested for two sexual assaults as Montreal police seek other victims

Montreal police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with allegations of harassment, forcible confinement, sexual contact and sexual assault.
Abdallah Almir, who was arrested on Feb. 25, is suspected of having sexually assaulted two women in separate incidents, one in December 2024 and another in January 2025.
The SPVM’s sexual assault division is seeking other possible victims, police said in a statement.

In both instances, Almir is said to have approached the women in public places in the northwest part of the island of Montreal and asked for directions. Police allege he managed to gain the women’s trust and, using different ruses and physical constraints, lured them to his apartment.
Once they were in his apartment, he is alleged to have committed acts of sexual touching and sexual assault.
Almir is Caucasian and expresses himself primarily in a Lebanese dialect of Arabic. He speaks French, with an accent. He is 5 foot 4 and weighs 158 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes and, at the time of his arrest, had a short beard.
Anyone who believes they may have been a victim is asked to call 911 or go to a police station to make a statement or file a formal complaint. Reports can be filed anonymously and confidentially with Info-Crime Montréal at 514-393-1133 or online at

Because the investigation suggests the existence of several victims, a Sûreté du Québec initiative that investigates serial crimes was involved. The G

a unified command structure whereby the province’s police services work in partnership to quickly identify the actions of suspected predators and proceed to their arrest.
