As March break comes to an end, there are lots of fun events happening on the weekend in Waterloo region, Guelph and Wellington County.

The Relative Minors and author Alison McGauley
Saturday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Cambridge Public Library, Hespeler branch
This free, drop-in event includes a reading of Kenzie’s Little Tree by author Alison McGauley, followed by a performance by Cambridge indie rock band The Relative Minors.
There will also be a craft that kids can take home with them.
Light In the Dark
Sunday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery, Waterloo
The Baden Storytellers’ Guild will mark World Storytelling Day with a concert of stories. Listen to local storytellers as they weave tales from their lives or inspired by others to celebrate the start of spring.
Fashion for Change
Saturday 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Hagey Hall Theatre, University of Waterloo
The student-run, non-profit organization Fashion for Change will host their charity fashion show to raise money for Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.
Eid Carnival
Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, Kitchener
There will be traditional music and performances, henna, face painting, crafts and food at this event.
There will be free admission to the museum for the day.

University of Guelph
This whole weekend, the university campus will be full of activities.
It’s an open house weekend where people can go inside the buildings and students plan various events including pancake flipping, tractor pulls, an art show, cat and dog shows, bubble soccer, outdoor games, Old MacDonald’s Farm and, of course, delicious milkshakes (bring cash and get the mystery flavour).
The open house is free to attend, although there may be a cost for some events and food.
