A Kamloops, B.C., chiropractor has had restrictions placed on his practice after allegedly sending an explicit photograph to a client, according to a regulatory college.

The College of Complementary Health Professionals of B.C. said in a Tuesday notice that Tyler Jackson would be subject to interim orders after a complaint from a member of the public.

In the interim order, the college says that the allegation was a serious breach of boundaries that constituted sexual misconduct.

It said that a disciplinary panel “recognized the presence of factors that render the alleged sexual misconduct likely to recur,” which is why the conditions were imposed.

They include Jackson being prohibited from contacting patients via texts or social media, and providing the regulator with electronic access to all the clients he treats every week.

Jackson, who worked at Inspire Chiropractic and Wellness Studio in Kamloops, is not providing any services in the clinic at this time, according to a representative.

“We have no comment other than we are complying with all of the [college’s] restrictions,” Robert Conroy wrote in a short statement to CBC News.

If Jackson provides services at any other clinic, according to the college, he is mandated to prominently post the conditions of the interim order within reception areas and treatment rooms.

According to the interim order, the disciplinary panel said there was concern that the alleged conduct could be repeated if restrictions weren’t imposed.
