Bombshell new reports suggest that one of the best kept secrets in the Islamic Republic is that new Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is gay.

According to the New York Post, citing U.S. intelligence sources, Mojtaba Khamenei’s sexual proclivities were the reason his despotic dad, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, didn’t think he was capable of leadership.

The Post reports that when U.S. President Donald Trump was told that the new ayatollah was gay, he burst out laughing. Two intelligence operatives and a White House source confirmed the story to the Post.

“(Trump) has not stopped laughing about it for days,” one person familiar with the briefing told the tabloid.

The fanatical scion has long been the source of speculation both inside and outside Iran, making the claims more plausible. His widely reported impotency woes have exacerbated the whispers.

“(This information is) derived from one of the most protected sources that the (Iranian) government has,” one source told the Post.

A second intelligence source added: “The fact that this was elevated to the highest of high levels shows you there’s some confidence in this.”

The 56-year-old nepo mullah was selected to replace his father, Ali, who was killed in an air strike that also gravely wounded his son. Regime insiders were against naming Mojtaba Khamenei main mullah but he was backed by the homicidal maniacs in the Revolutionary Guards.

‘Aggressive sexual overtures’?

The intelligence sources told the tabloid that inside the regime, the junior jihadi was called “the power behind the robes.” He acted as his father’s gatekeeper and at the same time carried on a torrid long-term sexual relationship with the older man who was his childhood tutor.

Since the February 28 bombing that killed his father, the injured Mojtaba has been making “aggressive sexual overtures” to his male caregivers.

The first indications of the new Ayatollah’s sexual inclinations began following the May 2024 helicopter crash that killed then-president Ebrahim Raisi. He had been Ali Khamenei’s presumed favourite to be the next supreme leader.

Classified intelligence from 2008 also detailed the new leader’s impotency woes and visits to a London clinic. He had been under pressure to marry and produce heirs but the impotency provided a convenient excuse for being a swinging single.

“Mojtaba was expected by his family to produce children quickly, but needed a fourth visit to the U.K. for medical treatment — after a stay of two months, his wife became pregnant,” a leaked U.S. file said.

His wife Zahra and teen son Mohammad Bagher also died in the attacks.

Homosexuality is illegal in Iran

CBS News alluded to the dilemma faced by the queer mullah’s dad. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei allegedly wanted a different successor because of “issues” in his son’s “personal life.”

“His father and others suspected he was gay and that was something that people were spreading to try to stop his ascension,” one of the sources said.

And in Iran, homosexuality is illegal with sodomy being a death penalty crime. In some instances, gay Iranians have been hanged from construction cranes as a warning.

One intelligence source told the Post they aren’t usually in the business of outing people but this time is different.

“If there was ever a time where it was OK to out somebody, it would be when it’s a leader of a repressive Islamic theocracy that hangs gay people by cranes,” this person said.
