The Moon Update in Sailor Piece has introduced a lot of new items belonging to different rarities. Most of them are required to unlock the powerful Moon Slayer combat style. Among the long list is Lunar Essence, a Legendary item, which can be obtained as a reward for defeating the Moon Slayer boss that can be spawned on Boss Island.

Lunar Essence is primarily acquired from the Moon Slayer boss. You can spawn this enemy on Boss Island by giving 1 Upper Seal, 700,000 Money, and 700 Gems to the Boss Summoner NPC. While Money and Gems are naturally earned by finishing quests, the Upper Seal items have a low chance of being dropped by enemies across all islands.

You have a 3.08% chance of obtaining a Lunar Essence after defeating the Moon Slayer boss. This endgame boss has a massive 1,250,000,000 health, so consider teaming up with other players to finish the foe. Deal at least 10% damage to be eligible for gaining rewards from the boss, including Gems, EXP, and Money.

Increasing your Luck stat improves the boss drop rates. Some of the ways to improve this stat are by obtaining the Radiant Rune from the Infinite Tower, using Race Rerolls till you get the Kitsune Race, acquiring Fortune Chosen in Spec Passives, and getting Eminence Clan from Clan Rerolls.

The Celestial Favor Title provides the highest Luck boost compared to the aforementioned things. Providing a 50% Luck boost, you can get this Title by killing 5000 bosses in Sailor Piece.

Apart from farming the Moon Slayer boss, you can get Lunar Essence by trading. Accessing this system is straightforward, as it can be done by pressing the Trade button on the screen. After selecting the player with whom you want to trade, choose the items that you want to put into the exchange and wait for the other party to select Lunar Essences from their inventory.

Lunar Essence is one of the items required for unlocking the Moon Slayer combat style. It is given by the Moon Slayer Trainer NPC on Boss Island.

To get Moon Slayer, acquire the following things and then interact with the Trainer NPC on the island:

  • “Six Eyed Demon” Title
  • 1x Moon Crest
  • 4x Crescent Shard
  • 9x Lunar Essence
  • 16x Demon Remnant
  • 25x Upper Seal
  • 37,500 Gems

Apart from obtaining Moon Slayer, there is no other use for Lunar Essence. You can give the spare ones to other players via the trade feature.
