Building a shipwright’s workshop and a wharf in Windrose is essential to fortifying the hull of your ship and equipping it with cannons. You will get the objective to gather resources and build both of them during the Seafarer mission, right before you encounter and fight off the Blackbeard pirates in a naval battle.

How to build a shipwright’s workshop in Windrose

Building a shipwright’s workshop in Windrose is the very first objective of the Seafarer quest. You get this mission right after finishing the I Need a Bigger Boat mission, which involves you finally upgrading to a bigger ship.

Once you get this mission, head over to your camp and gather resources to build a shipwright’s workshop. You will require the following items to complete this task:

  • 15 x Wood
  • 10 x Coarse Fabric
  • 5 x Copper Ingots

While wood can be collected easily by chopping up trees, you will need to process plant fiber at the workshop to get coarse fabric. Lastly, copper ingots can be obtained by processing copper ore inside a smelting furnace.

Do note that you must build a roof over the shipwright’s workshop to be able to use it. Once that is done, you can then craft hull bracing and boarding party gear here, along with 12-pounders, which are the cannons you must equip to your ship for the Seafarer mission.

How to build a wharf in Windrose

After building cannons at the shipwright’s workshop, your next objective is to build a wharf that can be used to equip cannons to your ship as well as make necessary maintenance to it. Here’s what you will need to build it:

  • 10 x Wood
  • 10 x Coarse Fabric

Do note that you must ideally build a wharf close to your ship and can make a path to access it using multiple piers.

Once your wharf is ready, simply access it and click on the manage ship button to add your newly created 12-pounder cannons to it and complete the mission objective.
