A man’s death is being investigated as a homicide after police were called about a gun at a Winnipeg apartment Tuesday.
Officers found the injured 40-year-old man at an apartment block on Selkirk Avenue, between Andrews and Parr streets, shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, police said in a news release.
He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died from his injuries.
The Winnipeg Police Service identified the man as Kingsley Bruce, a member of Poplar River First Nation who was living in Winnipeg.
CBC News observed a forensics vehicle, and other marked police vehicles, parked outside 675 Selkirk Ave. on Wednesday afternoon.
Police asked anyone with information on Bruce’s death to call homicide investigators at 204-986-6508, or to send an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.
