An 18-year-old from Elmira, Ont., was arrested minutes after a home invasion in St. Catharines, Ont., on Friday, Niagara regional police say.
The teen was caught in a stolen white Acura TLX registered in Mississauga. Police say he used the vehicle to ram two police cruisers.
Police say this happened at around 3:50 a.m. near Lake Street and Welland Avenue on March 13.
They say the 18-year-old remained in the stolen vehicle while four other suspects broke into the apartment and stole personal property from the residents.
According to police, the four suspects fled westbound on foot when they were intercepted.

The suspects were not identifiable by the victims, according to Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Const. Richard Hingley as detectives continue to investigate.

The accused is facing several charges including armed robbery, forcible confinement, possession of a dangerous weapon, assaulting a peace officer with a weapon and more.
