A 64-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile crash east of the Manitoba community of Powerview-Pine Falls on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called around 1 p.m. to a stretch of the North Star Snoman trail along the Moskwa River in the rural municipality of Alexander, RCMP said in a news release on Friday.
The man was airlifted to hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The man, from the rural municipality of East St. Paul, was operating his snowmobile when it is believed he lost control and hit a tree, RCMP said.
Powerview RCMP continue to investigate.
