Family pays tribute to ‘great man’ with ‘charismatic nature’ who died in crash


His family said his “humour always [made] us smile”

The family of a “deeply loved father” has paid tribute to him after he died in a motorcycle crash in Peterborough. Robin Cooper, 50, of Earl Mews, Market Deeping, died after his motorcycle struck a lamp post on the A605 in Flaxley on April 3.

Robin was described has having a “charismatic nature”. His son said in a family tribute: “Robin was a deeply loved father, son, brother, uncle and friend. To those he left behind, he was a great man and will be remembered for his charismatic nature and humour always making us smile.

“Dad’s unwavering strength, support and love meant the world to myself and my brother, and he encapsulated every element of a man we could ever wish to be. He is forever in the hearts of those he meant the most to, and we are proud to carry his memory and soul with us for the rest of our days.

“We will treasure the memories of a good man gone far, far too soon. Our family, beloved dog Dove, and every life touched beyond will sorely miss you, Dad, and we look forward to seeing you again and will live our lives to the fullest in your memory.”

The incident happened at around 2.40pm on Friday, April 3. Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the crash.
