Cole Caufield becomes seventh player in Canadiens history to record 50 goals

The Montreal Canadiens star found the back of the net against the Tampa Bay Lightning for his 50th goal of the season. With the goal, Caufield became the first Habs player to reach 50 since Stephane Richer did it in 1990.

Caufield is now one goal behind Nathan MacKinnon for the league lead.

He joins only six other Canadiens players who have scored 50 goals in a season. Richer did it twice, Guy Lafleur did it on six occasions, and Steve Shutt, Bernie Geoffrion, Pierre Larouche and Maurice Richard each did it once.
