Former two-division world champion Roger Mayweather trained his nephew Floyd Mayweather for over a decade, but the ‘Black Mamba’ believed there was one fighter who could have threatened the unbeaten run of ‘TBE’.
Roger Mayweather held the WBA super-featherweight crown in 1983 and claimed the WBC super-lightweight title four years later, but lost the belt after four successful defences.
In both of the divisions in which he reigned, Mayweather was knocked out by supreme Mexican icon, Julia César Chavez, first losing to ‘El César del Boxeo’ by second-round stoppage at 130lbs, before being halted in round 10 of their super-lightweight rematch in 1989.
Previously speaking to Hustle Boss, Roger Mayweather heaped praise onto the legendary three-weight conqueror, who holds the record for most successful world victories (31) and fights (37).
“Chávez would give motherf***as problems today, just like he gave motherf***as like me problems. Remember, he fought the best in the world, period. I couldn’t see nobody today that he wouldn’t give a problem to.”
Roger then went on to admit his belief that Chávez would have caused issues for his nephew, who hung up the gloves with a flawless 50-fight record back in 2017.
“It don’t matter if he fought my nephew [Floyd], that would be a tough fight too.”
Chávez retired with a record of 107-6-2 back in 2005 and his son, Chávez Jr., has since gone on to become a world champion himself.
From necking-on to sucking face, the kiss has been fetishised (Picture: Getty Images)
A churn of saliva. A clashing of teeth. Way too much tongue.
These are just some of the components of a kiss many of us would rather forget.
So, it might come as a surprise to hear that more and more Brits have been searching for this kind of smooch on porn sites.
In fact, in the past two years, searches for the term ‘kissing fetish’ have surged by 67% on adult content marketplace, Clips4Sale, making it one of the most lucrative categories.
That’s kisses that are ‘wet’ and ‘smokey’, according to search terms, as well as those that you might associate with a good snogger, including ‘erotic’, ‘romantic’ and ‘SFW (safe for work)’.
In the r/dating subReddit, users have been sharing their love of a ‘sloppy and wet make-out session.’
‘I yearn for a sloppy make out session,’ wrote one user, while another said: ‘I love spit swapping, tonsil wrestling, tongue tied make out sessions.’
Our jaws hurt just thinking about it, but sex therapist Courtney Boyer is hardly surprised that kissing fetish is finally having its moment.
‘Kissing sits right at the intersection of emotional intimacy and physical arousal,’ she tells Metro. ‘The lips are packed with nerve endings, so even light contact can send strong sensory signals through the body.

‘Throw in eye contact, anticipation, scent, and emotional connection, and it becomes a powerful erotic trigger.
‘This is often more psychologically charged than overt sexual touch.’
Why are so many Brits getting off to kissing videos?

Courtney explains that, like most fetishes, our penchant for the intimate act develops through early imprinting. ‘Because kissing is often our first intimate act, it can hold emotional and erotic significance that carried into adulthood.’
That certainly makes sense, but what’s the appeal of the ‘washing-machine’ style snog?
Well, Courtney says the wet noises can hold a particular allure.
‘Sound and sensation amplify arousal,’ Courtney adds. ‘Wet kissing noises can heighten realism, and signal a mutual desire and immersion in the moment.’ Essentially, it shows that the pair are really digging the smooch.
Kissing fetish and the link to ‘spit-play’
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that a particularly wet kiss could be a gateway drug into ‘spit-play’, aka spitting in someone’s mouth.
Michael B Jordan’s ‘Sinners’ went viral for its ‘spit scene’ where Mary (Hailee Steinfeld) straddles Stack and slowly and erotically spits a whole lot of saliva into his mouth. A spitting scene was also featured in Lena Dunham’s Too Much series.
Sex psychotherapist Gigi Engle explains that spitting in someone’s mouth aka spit play or saliva swapping, is very alluring in the world of dom-sub play.
‘By letting someone spit in your mouth, you’re consensually submitting to the other person,’ she tells Metro. ‘It also ties into humiliation play.
‘Some people will enjoy the degradation because spitting on someone is culturally demeaning, so during sex it has an erotic charge.’
She adds that some people can find bodily fluids like spit attractive in itself, finding the thought of someone else’s fluids sexy.
It might seem like it’s suddenly become all the rage, but Gigi says spit play isn’t new.
‘People have always done spit play in dominant submissive dynamics – we’re simply seeing more media attention on it,’ she says. ‘People are seeing it more, finding it interesting and experimenting with it.’
Specific searches for things like ‘smokey kisses’ also point to a desire for sex acts that feel a little bit wrong.
‘These refer to kissing where smoke, often from cigarettes or vapes, is shared mouth-to-mouth,’ Courtney says. ‘For some, the appeal lies in taboo, the combination of all senses (taste and smell), and the intimacy of sharing air.
‘It blends rebellion with closeness, which can feel edgy and erotic.’
The fetish can also overlap with kinks like breath play, oral fixations, sensory play and even romantic dom and sub dynamics.
‘All of these center on closeness, control, and sensory immersion, which are core elements of erotic kissing,’ Courtney explains.
Keeping it PG
Kissing may have been eroticised by more people because of it’s connotations with intimacy (Picture: Getty Images)
On the other end of the spectrum, SFW (safe for work) kisses were another frequently searched-for term, suggesting there are those out there looking for a more PG exchange.
‘Despite an increase among the younger generation in more aggressive acts like choking, there is also a growing appetite for softer intimacy,’ Courtney says.
‘Kissing that feels affectionate, slow, and emotionally grounded rather than overtly sexual.
‘In times of stress or digital overload, people often crave comfort, safety, and nostalgia. “SFW” content offers arousal rooted in connection rather than explicitness.’
While the kissing fetish spans all genders, Courtney says that research and clinical insights suggest women are more likely to eroticise kissing because they tend to ‘link arousal with emotion’.
‘That said, men absolutely share the fetish,’ she adds, ‘particularly when kissing is framed as a marker of mutual desire or conquest. It’s less about gender and more about how individuals eroticise intimacy.’
How sacred is the snog?
Susie Masterson, BACP psychotherapist and relationship coach, previously told Metro kissing is an ‘incredibly intimate act, sometimes more so than sex’.
Take Julia Roberts’ character in Pretty Woman, who has a ‘no kissing’ rule for precisely this reason.
If you think about it, there’s little comparison to the moment someone looks in your eyes, then looks to your mouth, finally letting slip they’re as into you as you are into them. And then smushing your faces together.
For Metro lifestyle journalist, Charlie Sawyer, a simple snog is unmatched. ‘I’ve been a fan of snogging for well over a decade and can confirm participating in some mouth to mouth action in public places will forever be my favourite pastime,’ she says.
‘I love that a kiss can mean so many different things. It could mean “I hate you” or “I still love you” or “I don’t ever want to see you again but oh my god I’m so happy I met you”.’
But why the sudden uptick?
Safe For Work kisses are also a major draw in porn (Picture: Getty Images)
With a dramatic increase in demand for kissing fetish videos in the past two years, you do have to wonder what sparked the surge in interest.
For Courtney, post-pandemic psychology plays a major role. ‘Periods of isolation heightened our awareness of touch deprivation,’ she says.
‘Kissing, intimate but accessible, became symbolic of reconnection. At the same time, dating culture has been recalibrating toward slower, more intentional intimacy.’
And while the act of kissing itself has always been erotic, the expert suggests its rise as a standalone fetish is tied to online culture, too.
‘Particularly, it’s the growth of searchable, niche content over the past decade,’ she says. ‘As people realise their specific turn-ons are shared by others, interest and visibility increases.’

And speaking to HuffPost UK, relationship therapist and author at Passionerad, Sofie Roos, said there are “a few types of phrases that almost always do more harm than good in a relationship,” too.
“Many of these aren’t mainly about what you say, but about when you use them, and how they shut down a conversation or augment in a way that blames your partner and leaves them feeling that their version [of events] doesn’t matter,” she added.
Here, she shared five hurtful comments she thinks we should avoid using with our partner.
1) “You always…” or “you never…”
One of the Gottman Institute’s four horsemen of divorce is criticism, especially ad hominem critiques, which turn issues with your partner into comments about their person.
Phrases like “you always [do xyz]” can tie “one personal trait to [your partner’s] whole identity… with no nuance,” said Roos.
When comments like these are “thrown in your face, the reaction is often to go into defence mode, and the situation tends to escalate into a dirty fight.”
2) “Boo-hoo, poor you…” or “You’re so dramatic”
Dismissive, sarcastic, and diminishing statements, which suggest your partner is overreacting, are a no-go, said Roos.
They “signal that [your] partner’s feelings aren’t valid and not to be taken as equal to yours, which in the long run makes… their opinion and voice less valued.
“That’s no way to build a healthy, happy and respectful relationship.”
3) “If you really loved me…” or “I thought I meant more to you than that…”
These “manipulative” terms are unfair, Roos told us.
“Using these makes you push your partner into a certain behaviour, and you make them earn your love, which is extremely unfair, harsh and manipulative.”
It also “makes them very tense and afraid of doing wrong, where they feel their love isn’t enough.”
4) “Other couples don’t have this problem” or “My ex never did this”
Comparing your relationship to another couple’s, or even your own ex, should be avoided as much as possible.
It “makes your partner compete with others instead of making you a team against the world, which leads to feelings of not being good enough,” the therapist said.
5) “I don’t care, you do you,” or “I don’t want to tell you what you should do, you know best”
These can be tricky, Roos said, because at first glance, they can have the veneer of consideration.
But often, she said, they’re “actually loaded with anger and bitterness, which leads to a very tense atmosphere between you”. They can force your partner to do the hard work of noticing, bringing up, and “managing” problems you don’t want the effort of addressing.
Instead of this, try to “clear the air by saying what you really think”, and assume responsibility in your relationship by taking a position rather than leaving all the work to your partner.
Overall, Roos said, “Phrases that make your partner feel shamed, diminished, less worthy or manipulated have no room in a healthy relationship. Instead, say what you have on your mind and how you’re feeling, but in a respectful, nuanced, constructive and solution-oriented way that’s not aggressive or confronting.
“That will lead to a more peaceful, stable and happy relationship where both feel needed, seen and equal.”
Democratic leaders in Congress shared a list of 10 demands for reforms to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Wednesday, insisting they be added to the funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., put forward the following demands in a letter to Republican leadership, arguing that ICE has “has terrorized communities across the country.”
Targeted enforcement
Democrats say DHS officers must not “enter private property without a judicial warrant.”

“End indiscriminate arrests and improve warrant procedures and standards. Require verification that a person is not a U.S. citizen before holding them in immigration detention,” Jeffries and Schumer wrote.
No masks
“Prohibit ICE and immigration enforcement agents from wearing face coverings,” the pair demanded.
REP JEFFRIES ESCALATES RHETORIC AGAINST NOEM, SAYS DHS LEADER SHOULD BE ‘PUT ON ICE PERMANENTLY’
Require ID
Schumer and Jeffries say ICE agents should constantly display their agency, unique ID number and their last name during immigration operations. They should also “verbalize” their ID number and name if asked during an operation, the pair argue.

Protect sensitive locations
Jeffries and Schumer argue that federal funding should not be used to conduct immigration operations near “sensitive locations,” which they define as “medical facilities, schools, child-care facilities, churches, polling places, courts” and others.
Stop racial profiling
Top Democrats argue that DHS officers have been “conducting stops, questioning and searches based on an individual’s presence at certain locations, their job, their spoken language and accent or their race and ethnicity.”
They say that must stop, and that decisions should be based on prior evidence.

Uphold use of force standards
Democrats say ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection must operate under a more robust use-of-force policy, involving expanded training and certification for federal agents.
“In the case of an incident, the officer must be removed from the field until an investigation is conducted,” the pair argued.
Ensure state and local coordination and oversight
“Preserve the ability of State and local jurisdictions to investigate and prosecute potential crimes and use of excessive force incidents,” the pair wrote. “Require that evidence is preserved and shared with jurisdictions. Require the consent of States and localities to conduct large-scale operations outside of targeted immigration enforcement.”
DEMOCRATS DEMAND KRISTI NOEM BE FIRED OR WARN IMPEACHMENT WILL FOLLOW
Build safeguards into the system
Schumer and Jeffries demanded that federal detention facilities “must abide by the same basic detention standards that require immediate access to a person’s attorney to prevent citizen arrests or detention.”
“Allow states to sue DHS for violations of all requirements. Prohibit limitations on Member visits to ICE facilities regardless of how those facilities are funded,” they wrote.

Body cameras for accountability, not tracking
The Democrats argue that federal agents must wear body cameras when interacting with the public.
They also say federal police should “prohibit tracking, creating or maintaining databases of individuals participating in First Amendment activities.”
No paramilitary police
“Regulate and standardize the type of uniforms and equipment DHS officers carry during enforcement operations to bring them in line with civil enforcement,” Schumer and Jeffries wrote.

India captain Suryakumar Yadav said his team would travel to Colombo as planned for their T20 World Cup clash against arch-rivals Pakistan, despite Pakistan’s decision to boycott the match citing geopolitical tensions.
The Pakistan government directed its team to boycott the 15 February Group A contest to show solidarity with Bangladesh, who were replaced by Scotland following their refusal to tour India over safety concerns.
“Our mindset is clear,” Suryakumar told reporters at the captains’ pre-tournament press conference in Mumbai on Thursday.
“We have not refused to play – they have. We’ve booked our flight and we are going.”
India, currently the top-ranked T20 team, are aiming to become the first side to defend the title, and also the first hosts to win the T20 World Cup.
Pakistan’s boycott of the India match would leave them with little margin for error in their bid to reach the Super-8 stage, as only the top two teams from each group in the 20-team tournament advance.
Group A also features Namibia, the Netherlands, and the USA, who shocked Pakistan in the 2024 edition of the tournament.
Pakistan captain Salman Agha said the decision to boycott the game against India was “not in our control”.
“It’s a government decision, and we respect that,” Salman told reporters in Colombo.
“Yeah, we lost to USA in the last World Cup, but that’s history now. It’s a new World Cup, it’s a new team, and it’s a new combination.
“All three teams in our group, they are very good sides… So we are preparing for these games like we always do against any other team.”
Asked what would happen should India and Pakistan meet in a knockout game, Salman said they would follow government advice.
Ireland’s Men’s U20s begin their 2026 U20 Six Nations campaign on Saturday night with a demanding opening assignment against France in Perpignan — and fans will be able to watch the match live on free-to-air television.
The game takes place at Stade Aime Giral, with kick-off at 8pm Irish time, and will be shown live on the RTÉ News Channel (Sky 517) as well as streamed on RTÉ Player, ensuring easy access for supporters across Ireland.
Byrne handed starting role in back three
Head coach Andrew Browne has named a youthful but well-balanced matchday squad, captained by tighthead prop Sami Bishti, with one of the standout selections being Noah Byrne at full-back.
Byrne, a former Dublin minor footballer, continues his impressive sporting journey by starting in the Ireland back three alongside Derry Moloney and Daniel Ryan. Comfortable under the high ball and composed in broken play, Byrne’s transition from Gaelic football to elite rugby has marked him out as one of the more intriguing prospects in the squad. His ability to read space and counter-attack could be key against a typically athletic French backline.
In midfield, Johnny O’Sullivan partners James O’Leary, while Christopher Barrett and Tom Wood link up at half-back, tasked with steering Ireland around the pitch in what is expected to be a high-tempo contest.
Strong UCD influence in the pack
Ireland’s pack features a strong Leinster core, with UCD well represented. Bishti captains the side from tighthead prop, packing down alongside Max Doyle and Rian Handley in the front row. Dylan McNeice and Donnacha McGuire form the second row partnership, while the back row of Josh Neill, Billy Hayes and Diarmaid O’Connell offers a blend of physicality and mobility.
Browne has also named a well-rounded bench, with impact options available across both forwards and backs should the game open up in the final quarter.
Ireland U20s:
15. Noah Byrne (Dublin University FC/Leinster) 14. Derry Moloney (Blackrock College RFC/Leinster) 13. Johnny O’Sullivan (Dublin University FC/Leinster) 12. James O’Leary (UCC/Munster) 11. Daniel Ryan (Galway Corinthians RFC/Connacht) 10. Tom Wood (Garryowen FC/Munster) 9. Christopher Barrett (UCC/Munster)

The Douglas County sheriff’s deputy who shot and killed a man in the parking lot of a Highlands Ranch arcade last year attacked him “unreasonably and excessively,” according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed Monday by the man’s family.
Jalin Seabron, 23, died after Douglas County Deputy Nicholas Moore shot at him nine times while responding to reports of an active shooter at Main Event, striking him with seven bullets in the back and side. Seabron was not the shooter, but he was armed.
Seabron had pulled the gun out to defend his friends and family, who were celebrating his birthday with him at the arcade, 64 Centennial Blvd., according to the lawsuit.
Moore “unreasonably and recklessly charged into the scene, … without adequately evaluating the situation, utilizing a position of cover, or waiting for backup,” the lawsuit alleges. The deputy fired all nine shots within 15 seconds of arriving in the Main Event parking lot, his body camera video showed.
A woman can also be heard in the video, crying out for Moore not to shoot.
The warnings to drop the weapon happened over roughly three seconds. When Seabron didn’t immediately respond and turned his head toward Moore, not appearing to raise his weapon from his side, the deputy started shooting.
“At the time Moore opened fire, Mr. Seabron still had his back to the deputy and had just barely started to turn his head in reaction to the yelled commands,” the lawsuit stated.
Moore “wrongly assumed” Seabron was the shooter and shot him without “verifying whether Mr. Seabron actually posed a threat, or providing Mr. Seabron a reasonable opportunity to comply with commands,” the lawsuit alleges. Seabron didn’t have time to process the orders, let alone obey them, the document claims.
George Brauchler, the 23rd Judicial District Attorney, declined to file criminal charges against Moore in April 2025, after a month-long investigation into the police shooting by the district’s critical incident response team, according to a decision letter he sent to Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly.
The deputy gave Seabron several commands to drop his gun, but the commands all happened within three seconds, according to the decision letter. Moore did not verbally identify himself as law enforcement, and did not use his sirens while responding to the scene, the letter confirms.
State law allows a police officer to forgo that announcement if they believe doing so “would unduly place peace officers at risk or would create a risk of death or injury to other persons,” Brauchler said during an April news conference.
The shooting inside the Highlands Ranch arcade started as a fight in the bathroom between Seabron’s stepsister, 23-year-old Nevaeha Crowley-Sanders, and a friend she had known since high school. Authorities said Crowley-Sanders pulled out a handgun and shot at the 22-year-old victim, her friend, eight times.
Crowley-Sanders was assaulted by a group of women in the restroom and fired her gun in self-defense, ending the altercation, according to the lawsuit. The woman shot by Crowley-Sanders survived her injuries, and Crowley-Sanders was charged with attempted murder.
The first calls to 911 about the shooting came in just before midnight on Feb. 8, 2025.
When Moore arrived, roughly 90 seconds later, “no one was running, as the shooting itself was over,” the lawsuit stated. Seabron had his gun in his hand to defend himself and his group against a woman involved in the bathroom fight who had come outside after, also armed with a gun that she pointed at Seabron.
“It was clear there was no active or ongoing threat,” the lawsuit alleges. “It was apparent that the person Deputy Moore killed was not the shooter.”
The civil lawsuit filed Monday in Douglas County District Court is seeking compensation for Moore’s use of excessive force and battery causing wrongful death. Moore is listed as the sole defendant in the complaint.
Bron Breakker’s attack at the WWE Royal Rumble has dominated the news over the past week, and there are many fans who believe that it could have been a member of The Vision who were behind the attack.
Adam Pearce opened up the possibility that it could have been Austin Theory on WWE RAW, but Logan Paul recently shared his Vlog from the event, which showed all three members backstage following the attack.
Thanks for the submission!
Paul, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory were seen deciding on a new plan, and it seemed that Paul himself was shocked by the attack since he had made a point throughout the Vlog that he was going to help Breakker win the match.
Why Did WWE Waste This Year’s Royal Rumble? Find Out!
The new plan was decided that they would all work together, and one of The Vision would come out on top. Bronson Reed and Austin Theory agreed, and throughout the match, all three men were able to work together before Theory was eliminated, and Roman Reigns then kicked Paul out of the match as well.
Was a member of The Vision behind Bron Breakker’s attack?
The most promising theory that fans have come up with recently is that it was a member of The Vision who assaulted Breakker, and both Theory and Paul have been seen as suspects.
Paul has claimed his innocence over the past few days, but it would be interesting if it were a member of his own group, and it was jealousy that fuelled the attack, especially since Bron Breakker attacked Seth Rollins a few months ago and kicked him out of the group.
Seth Rollins is someone who was thought to have been the mask and this could continue heading into WrestleMania and be revealed as Rollins, since he has a real reason to be upset with Breakker following the attack.
