Arsenal quadruple odds: Bookmakers trim Gunners quad odds

Arsenal will look to end their six-year trophy drought in style at the Carabao Cup final and betting sites believe this could be the first of several pieces of silverware the Gunners collect this season having trimmed their quadruple odds to 14/1.

The north London side are fighting on four fronts heading into the closing months of the season and could collect the first domestic trophy on offer when they face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on March 22.

City and Arsenal are also battling for the Premier League title, with Mikel Areta’s men in the driving seat. They sit top of the Premier League, nine points clear of Manchester City, who have a game in hand ahead of hosting the Gunners on 19 April in a game that could well decide the title.

Elsewhere, Arsenal eased past Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League last-16 to set up a quarter-final tie against Sporting CP, while they’re set to face Championship side Southampton in an FA Cup quarter-final in early April.

So, having last won a trophy in 2020, Arsenal are now in a strong position as they aim to win everything. Football betting sites have been adjusting their odds accordingly, and the odds on Arsenal winning the quadruple have once again come in.

Arsenal quadruple odds now range from as short as 17/2 with some bookmakers to 14/1 with Bet365.

However, there’s a reason why the quadruple has never been done before by an English club, and why only two teams have ever won the treble.

To be successful on all fronts, it not only relies on talent but also a great deal of luck. The luck of the draw in the cup competitions, luck when it comes to injuries and of course, the odd slice of luck in refereeing decisions.

As we have seen so many times before, things can change in an instant in football, and Arsenal will be taking nothing at all for granted, although their price on betting apps to win at least one trophy has dropped from 1/25 to as low as 1/80.

Last season, Liverpool were in a similar position and were as short as 33/1 to win all four trophies. They were then beaten by Plymouth in the FA Cup, knocked out of the Champions League by the eventual winners PSG and lost the League Cup final to Newcastle.

They did win the Premier League, though, ahead of the Gunners, and Mikel Arteta’s side have finished runners-up in the league in the last three seasons.

Arsenal trophy odds

You have to go back to the 2003/04 season for the last time Arsenal won the league title, and they have never won the Champions League, so a lot of this is new territory for the current squad and coaching staff.

The north London outfit have only ever won one trophy under Arteta – the 2020 FA Cup – but the bookmakers think it’s unlikely they’ll not claim some form of silverware this season, making them 22/1 not to win a trophy.

Gunners in control of the title race

The dramatic win over Everton in mid-March took Arsenal 10 points ahead of Manchester City, and with Pep Guardiola’s side only able to fight to a draw at West Ham later that evening, it left the Gunners with a nine-point lead in the title race ahead of the Carabao Cup final.

It’s a lead that feels decisive even at this point of the season and bookmakers have cut Arsenal’s title odds to 1/10.

While it’s hard to imagine the Gunners finishing the season without any silverware, this is a position they have been in before.

In 2023, they led the Premier League table by eight points at the end of April, but they still failed to win the title. City won 11 league games in a row and dropped just two points from 42 to be crowned champions by five points.

The Gunners were also quickly knocked out of the FA Cup by Man City and went out of the Europa League at the round of 16 stage – beaten on penalties by Sporting – in addition to losing their way in the league.

City are once again Arsenal’s biggest adversaries in the Premier League, while the two teams will contest the Carabao Cup final on March 22 and City remain a threat in the FA Cup, even if it is now Bayern, PSG and Barcelona who look like the Gunners’ most dangerous adversaries in Europe.

Kind draw could open the door to Champions League glory

In the Champions League, Arteta’s side became the first team to win all eight of their league phase matches, beating Inter Milan and FC Kairat in January to add to the previous wins over Athletic Bilbao, Olympiakos, Atletico Madrid, Slavia Prague, Bayern Munich and Club Brugge.

The Gunners finished top of the league phase table to seal an automatic place in the round of 16, where they faced Bayer Leverkusen.

A 1-1 draw in Germany wasn’t the result the Gunners wanted but they breezed into the last eight with a 2-0 win at the Emirates to set up a quarter-final tie with Portuguese side Sporting CP.

Finishing top of the table certainly helped them when it came to the draw, though it only gets more difficult for Arteta’s side if they beat Sporting, with either Atletico Madrid or Barcelona waiting in the semi-finals.

From their dominance so far, it’s easy to see why they are the favourites to lift the trophy in Budapest this May at odds of 5/2, just ahead of Bayern and Barcelona at 7/2 and 11/2 respectively.

The Gunners reached the final of the competition for the only time back in 2005/06, losing 2-1 to Barcelona in Paris. Sol Campbell gave Arsenal a first-half lead after having Jens Lehmann sent off, but late goals from Samuel Eto’o and Juliano Belletti earned Barca their second European Cup.
