[WATCH] Unfortunate moment happens during AJ Lee’s entrance at WrestleMania 42

AJ Lee got a special entrance for her Women’s Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 42, but an unfortunate (and also cute) moment led to a bit of a botch.

AJ Lee’s entrance at WrestleMania 42 was similar to Bianca Belair’s a few years ago, where she had young girls dressed exactly like her twirling their braids. It was an iconic entrance, and it seemed like WWE tried to pull something similar for AJ this year. She had a lot of young girls dressed exactly like her and doing the hop motion while standing in a stationary position. They were lined together, and AJ would come out with a few young girls on each side.

However, there was one of the little girls who didn’t walk past the entrance part, and she seemed visibly confused and scared by the whole ordeal, so she ran to the back. AJ didn’t seem to notice as the girls who were beside her were her focus. Even with them, there was a bit of confusion as they were supposed to go to the back of the line and do the skip-and-hop, but seemed puzzled and stood there.

Perhaps it will be a lesson for WWE to only select children of a certain age when trying to do a coordinated entrance. However, it’s hard to blame the young girls as they are essentially being put in front of tens of thousands of people in a massive, larger-than-life stadium.

Unfortunately for AJ Lee, her woes wouldn’t stop there as Becky Lynch finally overcame her. She used Jessika Carr, the referee, as her shield, and that moment was perfect as it revealed the exposed turnbuckles. When Carr moved out of the way, Becky utilized the exposed turnbuckle to smash AJ’s head against it – setting up a manhandle slam to become a three-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
