Barcelona Open: Arthur Fils & Andrey Rublev win to reach final
Arthur Fils and Andrey Rublev both came back from a set down to reach the final of the Barcelona Open.
Russian Rublev secured a place in his first final of the year – and 29th of his career – by beating Serbia’s Hamad Medjedovic 3-6 6-2 6-2.
Rublev, who had lost his past four semi-finals, will be aiming to win his first title since beating Britain’s Jack Draper in the Qatar Open final in February 2025.
Frenchman Fils beat Spaniard Rafael Jodar, who knocked out Britain’s Cameron Norrie in the quarter-finals, 3-6 6-3 6-2.
