A silver alert has been issued for a missing woman with dementia who hasn’t contacted her family in more than a day, RCMP say.

Cynthia Jacobucci, 68, was last seen in Selkirk, Man., on Thursday night, RCMP said in a Friday alert. Her family said they haven’t heard from her in more than 24 hours and can’t find her, the bulletin said.

Jacobucci’s vehicle is not parked at her home in the Petersfield area, and there are no tire tracks in her driveway. That suggests she might have left home before an overnight storm in the region, police said. Her dog is also not at the home.

Jacobucci has dementia and might be disoriented, police said. She did not go to a medical appointment in Stonewall on Friday afternoon, the bulletin said.

Jacobucci is described as five feet and two inches tall, with short grey hair and blue eyes.

She might be driving a 2016 Jeep Patriot with the Manitoba licence plate LCP 541.

Police asked anyone who’s seen Jacobucci or has information on her whereabouts to call 911 or RCMP at 204-482-3322. Anonymous tips can also be sent to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
