Popular internet personality Emily “ExtraEmily” has garnered attention on social media after claims that she allegedly artificially inflates her Twitch viewership surfaced. On April 16, 2026, a nine-second clip from ExtraEmily’s Just Chatting livestream went viral on X.

In the video, while the OTK (One True King) member browsed her official Discord server, she appeared to show a preview of the Google Chrome tabs that were open, one of which displayed a website called “ViewBot.ai.”

This video has led netizens to speculate that Emily allegedly used a viewbotting service to inflate her Twitch viewership.

ExtraEmily’s situation became a hot topic of conversation on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit. However, the discussion thread was eventually removed because, according to the subreddit’s moderation team, the 28-year-old was on a website that “has a pop-up that redirects” to the alleged viewbotting service website.

“The website that Emily was on, has a popup that redirects to that website. Our own moderation team tested and confirmed this.” Reddit user LivestreamFail-modTeam wrote.

Reddit user Lucky-Gecko claimed that the r/LivestreamFail subreddit moderation team’s claims were “false”:

“Mods keep deleting posts about this, claiming that it’s a popup ad from the 67speed.com website. This is false. For one, the viewbot website is an incognito window (grey/black top border). Someone also dmed the creator of the website, he denied that there are any pop-up ads at all on the website, only embeded stake/lovable ads.” Reddit user Lucky-Gecko responded.

Mizkif comments on viewbotting allegations against ExtraEmily

Kick streamer Matthew “Mizkif” has shared his thoughts on the controversy involving ExtraEmily, expressing his belief that she does not viewbot her content.

While reviewing her livestreaming statistics, the New Jersey native said:

“8,000 viewers, I still believe this. 10,000 viewers, I still believe this. I mean, I don’t really see a place where she was viewbotting at all. Like, yeah, she used to get 15-16,000, and then, a year later, she has not really done a lot besides get hate. But she doesn’t lose any followers, ever!”

Mizkif also speculated on why ExtraEmily was not losing her Twitch followers:

“The reason why she’s not losing followers is not necessarily because that she’s getting botted, I think the thing is the idea of following a woman is way easier when you first click on their stream, than it is for a man. Right? When you watch a man’s first stream, you have to somehow get involved in it, and like the guy, follow him a little bit, understand him, and you could follow. Right? But for a woman, a lot of times, men are just horny, or they’re just clicking on a woman; they follow them almost immediately because the barrier to entry is very simple – ‘I think she’s cute; therefore, I follow.'”
