Tony Khan on AEW and WBD partnership after massive rumors
A few months back, there were heavy rumors that WBD would be acquired by Netflix, which could be concerning for AEW, as Netflix is in a partnership deal with the WWE as well. Speaking during a press conference in December 2025, Khan weighed in on his company’s partnership with WBD when asked about the deal:
“Without getting into anything that has yet to be determined, I just want to say we have a great partnership with Warner Brothers Discovery and it will continue for many years to come. We have years left on our remaining agreement with TBS and HBO Max. I’m really proud of what we’ve built and I think it’s going to be for a long time to come. It’s going to be like this with Warner Brothers Discovery before anything is settled out. I’m very excited for the future. I think we have great partnerships…. I have only positive things to say about Netflix and Warner Brothers Discovery,” Khan stated.
It was recently reported that WBD will soon be finalizing a deal with Paramount instead of Netflix. Only time will tell what the future holds for All Elite Wrestling after the potential deal.
