“Pan Parag is more worthy than Riyan Parag” – Fans slam RR captain for another low score in IPL 2026 clash vs SRH

Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Riyan Parag endured another poor outing with the bat in the IPL 2026 clash against the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 13. The 24-year-old watched his bowlers throw away a good start in the powerplay and concede a massive 216/6 in 20 overs to SRH.

In response, the exciting opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi finally failed as a partnership, combining for only a solitary run between them. RR lost their opening three wickets for just one run when Parag walked out to the crease.

After smashing a sublime boundary, the RR skipper played a poor shot and nicked the delivery to first slip. The six-ball four marked another low score for Parag, who has tallied just 49 runs in five outings at an average of 12.25 with a highest score of 20.

Fans on X were scathing in their remarks for the struggling Riyan Parag.

Here are some of the best reactions:

Parag bro with one good season has scammed RR is as same level Thala did for India in T20I’s.

Riyan Parag prolly has to be worst ever player in IPL history Just 1 good season out 8 seasons 6 failed years Funny thing is people still haven’t realised he isn’t anything more than 1-2 season wonder

Thought Pan Parag would kick on after his 2024 season. He has gotten worse in the last seasons.

Fans continued slamming Riyan Parag for another dismal outing with the bat, with one saying:

“What the hell were they thinking making this shitty paragraph the captain?”

“Ryan Parag boasts himself of so much, bit never seen him winning any IPL match with his batting or bowling. Only a good fielder as of now,” a fan posted.

“Pan parag is more worthy than riyan parag,” a fan said.

RR on the brink of first loss in IPL 2026

RR’s fairytale run thus far in IPL 2026 is seemingly on the brink of coming to an end in the ongoing SRH clash. The 2008 champions had won their opening four matches, entering this contest.

However, a shoddy bowling and fielding performance, followed by an abysmal showing with the bat, has them facing a massive defeat. Chasing 217, RR were reeling at an embarrassing 9/5 when skipper Parag fell off the final ball of the third over.

However, Ravindra Jadeja and Donovan Ferreira lent the innings some respectability with an impressive stand. The duo has added an incredible 111 off 66 deliveries to bring the equation down to 97 off 36 balls.
