AEW confirms top star will be out of action indefinitely following Dynasty 2026
A top AEW star’s supposed injury at Dynasty 2026 has now been confirmed by the Jacksonville-based promotion, which also revealed that he will be out of action indefinitely.
The star in question here is Gabe Kidd. The Mad Man, who left NJPW early this year to join AEW on a full-time basis, has been performing in the promotion alongside his The Dogs stablemates, Clark Connors and David Finlay. The Trio even became Trios Champions, defeating former champs Kevin Knight, Mike Bailey, and Mistico on the most recent episode of Collision. That said, the Dogs lost the championship at Dynasty 2026 last night to Roderick Strong, Orange Cassidy, and the returning Kyle O’Reilly (of the Conglomeration faction). At one point during the bout, Kidd appeared to be in severe pain and left the match, going backstage clutching his arm. Reports suggested that the 28-year-old had dislocated his shoulder. His injury has now been officially confirmed by AEW President Tony Khan.
Speaking at the Dynasty Post Show Media Scrum, the All Elite Wrestling Head Honcho addressed the incident involving Kidd, confirmed that Kidd had suffered a shoulder injury, and noted that Kidd will be out indefinitely.

Gabe Kidd on why he came to AEW and aligned with Jon Moxley
Former NJPW star Gabe Kidd shocked the world when he appeared in AEW in early 2025 and aligned with Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. Around that time, Kidd gave an interview to Denise Salcedo in which he explained why he teamed up with the Purveyor of Violence, saying he wanted to achieve his ‘violent’ goals in All Elite Wrestling.
“You don’t need to worry about that. You know, it’s right in front of your eyes. If you want to ask these questions and you want to know what’s going on in my mind, it’s right in front of you (…) So sit back, ’cause you’ll know what’s about to happen. You’ll know. We are very like-minded. That is all I need to say. We share very similar goals. In our goals, in our violent goals, we are very like-minded,” he said.
It will be interesting to see when Kidd returns to All Elite Wrestling.
