Minimalist Photography Awards 2026 Open for Entries – Submit Your Work

If minimalism is your way of expression, now is the best time to go through your photo archive – The Minimalist Photography Awards (MPA) has officially opened its 2026 edition. Wherever you are, you’re invited to submit your work in one of the most respected and recognized competitions dedicated to minimalist visual storytelling.
Founded by photographer and curator Milad Safabakhsh, MPA celebrates the power of simplicity. Last year’s edition attracted over 2,600 entries and more than 7,000 images from photographers across 50+ countries. Hopefully, this year it will attract even more photographers. And no, I’m not saying it because I’m subjective and enjoy minimalist photography myself. No, not at all. 🙂
“As an approach in photography, minimalist photography can be adopted by photographers in all genres,” says Safabakhsh. “No matter if you are a street, architecture, or landscape photographer, minimalist photos are always an option as long as you maintain a minimalistic perspective toward your surroundings.”
Submission Details
You can submit your work, whether you’re a professional or amateur photographer. Categories include Abstract, Architecture, Fine Art, Landscape, Street, and more. Winners of the Minimalist Photography Awards receive a cash prize, international recognition, publication in the official Annual Book, and opportunities to be exhibited in curated shows across Europe.
As for the deadlines, the early bird deadline is May 1, 2026, and the final deadline is June 2, 2026. So, you still have time to shoot something epic or go through your older work and find suitable photos to submit.
You can submit single images or series through the official contest website, where you’ll also find more information and detailed submission guidelines and fees.
