Will Ospreay Shares A Concerning Message Ahead Of Return Match At AEW Dynasty

Popular AEW star Will Ospreay recently spoke about his upcoming match. The star will make his in-ring return at AEW Dynasty this Sunday.

Will Ospreay is returning from a neck surgery that kept him out of action for several months. Following the AEW Continental Championship match between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution, the Aerial Assassin made his shocking return. He immediately went after the Death Riders for putting him on the shelf in the first place. The star is now scheduled for a match against Moxley at Dynasty for the Continental Championship.

This week during an exclusive interview with Josh Martinez, the star shed light on a major challenge post-surgery. Will Ospreay detailed that he was concerned about his match quality. The British wrestling sensation noted that his pay-per-view matches always had a style of excellence. However, given the restrictions in the match and his condition after the surgery, he would have to wrestle a new style and hoped that fans would enjoy his match.

“I think honestly the thing that I’m most concerned about is just that pay-per-view quality that I was able to bring back in 2023 to 2024, and even at the start of 2025. I always had a style of excellence when it came to my pay-per-view quality matches. This will be my first pay-per-view back where I will be in a very different formulated match where there is a time limit. There is stipulations added to it. So now it is just relying upon my ability and my skill that I’ve learned throughout so many years of wrestling that I hope I can just deliver to the fans something that they can all be happy with.”

Will Ospreay spoke about Chris Jericho’s advice

During a recent interview, Will Osprey also spoke about getting some useful advice from wrestling veteran and fellow AEW member Chris Jericho. The star noted that Jericho saw some of his matches and immediately asked him to stop doing some of the risky moves.

The former two-time AEW International Champion felt that Jericho’s advice came from a place of respect and concern. He noted that Jericho was a true locker room leader and always wanted what was best for the stars in the company.
