A 28-year-old man is being sought by police following an overnight stabbing in Barrie.

Barrie Police say they were contacted shortly after midnight Saturday regarding a report of a male who had been stabbed in the area of Anne St. N. and Donald St.

When officers arrived at the scene, police say a 43-year-old Barrie man was found in life-threatening condition. He was transported to a local hospital and then air-lifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
Following an investigation, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit identified Adam Myshak as the suspect wanted in relation to this incident.

Suspect facing several charges
Myshak is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and aggravated assault, police say.
Investigators released an image of the suspect, who has several small tattoos on his face.
The public is being warned to not approach the suspect if he is seen but to contact police instead.
Investigators are asking anyone who has information on his whereabouts, who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam or other video footage in the area, to contact Barrie Police.
