Christian Horner goes ‘Flashback Friday’ as he shares throwback clips of Gianpiero Lambiase, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo and others

Former Red Bull boss Christian Horner took to Instagram on April 10, 2026, and uploaded multiple stories, which included videos of multiple F1 stars, including Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Gianpiero Lambiase, Damon Hill, and others, either playing a musical instrument or singing.

Christian Horner went down memory lane in what was seemingly a flashback Friday for the Briton. The former F1 team boss shared multiple videos from his archive of the people he’s worked with closely in the past.

The first of many Instagram stories was a video of Max Verstappen’s race engineer, Gianpiero Lambiase, playing the drums to James Brown’s I Got You (I Feel Good)”

“GP’s Hidden Talent @gplambiase,” read the caption of the story

One of the stories was of four-time F1 champion Max Verstappen, former F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, and Brendon Hartley, all of whom were a part of Red Bull at one time, singing the song “Wannabe” by Spice Girls.

“Spice Boys @danielricciardo @pierregasly @brendon_hartley @maxverstappen1,” read the caption of the video.

Christian Horner’s gardening leave ends as former Red Bull Team Principal cleared to join another F1 team

Christian Horner was sacked by Red Bull Racing days after the 2025 British GP. Following the negotiations with the Milton Keynes-based outfit, the Briton was given a nine-figure payout, and his gardening leave was agreed upon till April 9.

As of April 10, 2026, Christian Horner is free to join any team he wants. The Briton has been linked to multiple teams since leaving Red Bull, which includes Alpine, Haas, Aston Martin, Ferrari, and, most recently, Audi, with Jonathan Wheatley stepping away from the Team Principal role.

However, sources suggest that Horner is interested in Alpine and also reportedly has a consortium of investors ready to buy Otro Capital’s stake in the French team. However, since then, reports of Toto Wolff joining the bid for Otro Capital’s Alpine share have also come out.

While Christian Horner’s course of action isn’t clear, what is clear is that the Briton wants to return to the sport, not only as a leader, but with an ownership stake in a team.
