Residents in Yarmouth, N.S., are being advised to stay inside and keep doors and windows lock after the RCMP issued a dangerous man with a firearm alert on Friday evening.
Police are looking for 30-year-old Christian Lasaga, who they said was last seen in the Cumberland Street and Williams Street area of Yarmouth on foot. Police believe he has a firearm.
“Residents: Seek immediate SHELTER or STAY INSIDE and close and lock doors and windows, do not leave a secure location,” a civil emergency alert sent around 7 p.m. stated.
Police said Lasaga was wearing blue jeans, a brown plaid shirt or jacket, white sneakers, and a fanny pack. They said he has brown hair and green eyes. They shared a photo Lasaga on social media.
“Do not provide a ride to anyone. Do not disclose police locations. Call 9-1-1 to report emergencies or tips,” the alert stated.
