Why is Ethan Klein suing Noah Samsen? Podcaster’s defamation lawsuit against YouTuber explained

H3 Podcast host Ethan Klein has announced that he has filed for a defamation lawsuit against Noah Samsen after the YouTuber accused him of “being pro-genocide.” On the 255th episode of the H3 Show titled, I Am Suing Noah Samsen, Ethan Klein claimed that Noah Samsen made “heinous accusations” against him in his YouTube video, The YouTubers Who Backed a Genocide.

He elaborated:

“It’s been a while since I spoke about dear friend, Noah Samsen, who had a penchant for accusing me of being pro-genocide. He thought it was cute. He thought it was fun throwing around such kind of heinous accusations. Right? ‘This guy supports genocide.’ In fact, he even had a video called the YouTubers that supported genocide with me in it. And, you know, that’s the world we’re living in.”

Furthermore, Klein stated that he filed the lawsuit against Samsen on the day before the statute of limitations for pursuing legal action on defamation claims expired:

“On the day of or on the day before the statute expired, we had a nice little complaint there for defamation, for accusing me of being pro-genocide, in favor of genocide. Horrible thing to say about someone, by the way. One of the worst, I would say, maybe even of all the things you could say about someone. You know? Well, we filed it, beating the statute by about one day.”

“I sue those who deserve it” – Ethan Klein says his decision to sue Noah Samsen for defamation is him “following through on a promise he made”

At the six-minute mark of the most recent H3 Show, Ethan Klein stated that he decided to file a defamation lawsuit against Noah Samsen because he was “following through on a promise he made” a year ago:

“He’s been sued now, in California, for defamation. That’s right. He thought I forgot. In fact, nobody should be surprised; this is me following through on a promise I made a year ago.”

The 40-year-old then responded to the “terrible accusation” that he “only sues women”:

“So, to dispel this terrible accusation that I only sue men, or women, I’m sorry, I thought it’s only fair and equitable to sue a man. A White man, I might say. Well, it’s equitable, and it’s important for me to know, to the three women, that it’s not personal. Right? I sue those who deserve it. Who require accountability. And it was a terrible coincidence, a terrible one, that the three people I sued for copyright infringement were women. Terrible! Right? And I’m just happy that I’ve had the opportunity to rectify that, to set the record straight now, to sue a straight White man.”

As of this writing, Noah Samsen has not issued a statement on the defamation lawsuit that Ethan Klein is pursuing against him.
