Anyone would have thought this collapsed little dog was minutes from death. He looked more like a ghost than a living dog. He was plagued by mange, starving and wounded. With three strikes against him, Casper wouldn’t be alive much longer without emergency rescue.

But this little love seemed to respond to his care-givers’ encouragement as much as to the medicine. Within minutes, during his admissions exam, Casper raised his head. A few minutes later, his gentle eyes searching our faces, Casper sat up.
