Double Olympic medallist Blanka Vlasic will feature as the international event ambassador for the Tata Consultancy Services World 10K Bengaluru 2026, it was announced on Monday.

High jumper Vlasic won silver at Beijing 2008 and followed it up with a bronze at Rio 2016. She also claimed two gold medals at the World Championships (2007 and 2009).

Her personal best of 2.08m, achieved in 2009, is the third-highest clearance in women’s high jump history.

“Being associated with an event that brings thousands of people together through running is truly inspiring and energising. Running is a sport that keeps us physically active and mentally strong, and it continues to play a vital role in shaping the athletics community,” said Vlasic.
