Prince Yadav uproots off-stump to dismiss Ishan Kishan for just 1 in SRH vs LSG IPL 2026 match [Watch]
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stand-in captain Ishan Kishan was dismissed for just 1 by pacer Prince Yadav in the afternoon encounter against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, April 5. The southpaw had no reply to an incoming delivery and found the off-stump out of its groove after being castled in the team’s first home game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
Ishan Kishan had to walk in early into bat as Mohammad Shami dismissed both SRH openers – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma early into the contest. Coming into the clash on the back of his stunning fifty against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the wicket-keeper could not make an impression as his stay at the crease lasted only four deliveries.
Ishan Kishan initially faced the spinner Digvesh Rathi in the second over of the innings, and was dismissed off the very first delivery he faced against a pacer. Prince Yadav got the ball to nip back in just a touch off the surface to breach the gap between the left-handed batter’s bat and pad.
The skipper was left stunned by the delivery as SRH were reduced to 11-3 in the fourth over. Have a look at the dismissal right here.
Ishan Kishan’s woeful run against LSG continued with this short outing. Before this contest, he had scored only 176 runs in eight innings at an average of 22.00 and a strike rate of 104.76. He had recorded a golden duck in this same fixture last year.
SRH’s trouble continues after Ishan Kishan’s dismissal as Digvesh Rathi dismisses Liam Livingstone
After some strong powerplay bowling in their season opener against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in Lucknow, LSG have carried the same form into their first away contest as well. After getting rid of the top-three in quick time, courtesy of their pacers, the Rishabh Pant-led side struck early into the middle overs as well.
Spinner Digvesh Rathi dismissed Liam Livingstone for 14 runs after a sharp catch by Rishabh Pant to kick-start the eighth over. At the time of writing, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy are attempting o stabilise the innings, with the score reading 31-4 in the ninth over.
