“You can’t cancel this man”- Candace Owens comments on Kanye West’s sold-out SoFi stadium performances
Candace Owens has shared her thoughts after Kanye West’s shows at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. The artist, now known as Ye, performed two sold-out shows at the iconic venue on Wednesday and Friday this week.
Kanye West performed at the SoFi Stadium after five years. The rapper has been amidst numerous controversies in the last few years due to his anti-semitic comments. He released his song, Heil Hitler, last year, praised Hitler in an interview, attempted to sell ‘Swastika’ shirts, and much more.
Hence, many have called for him to be cancelled. However, he returned with two sold-out shows in California this week. Candace Owens supported the rapper’s return via multiple posts on X (formerly Twitter). In one post, she wrote:
“You can’t cancel this man. He never belonged to you guys.”
During his second show on Friday, April 3, Ye brought out Lauryn Hill. Owens wrote about it:
“I can’t explain it but Ye defeated Hollywood. Bringing Lauryn Hill back and putting on a show like this is exactly why he is so inspirational. Forever my brother.”
One X user referenced the launch of Artemis II, which is a mission to take a crew of astronauts around the moon. Owens responded to the comment, writing:
“Underrated comment about Ye’s performance last night. He really upstaged Artemis.”
Kanye West and Lauryn Hill performed the song, All Falls Down, together at the SoFi Stadium. The latter also performed Lost Ones and Doo Wop (That Thing). Travis Scott and CeeLo Green also appeared on stage with Ye during the concert.

Candace Owens has been a big supporter of Kanye West

The political commentator and podcaster has always been a big supporter of Kanye West. Candace Owens is known for her conspiracy theories regarding Charlie Kirk’s assassination on September 10 last year.
During a podcast in October, she even claimed that Ye sent her a message, naming all the people who were allegedly threatening him. She said (h/t Hot New Hip Hop):
“Kanye sent me all the messages of people who were threatening me. I have them all.”
She further added:
“Never too late to say that Kanye was right. Kanye said that in order to be free you had to violate these contracts you had to recognize that your voice is being controlled and Kanye did just that. It was really an act of bravery to free himself.”
Candace Owens also supported Ye after his controversy with Harley Pasternak, a celebrity trainer. In 2022, the rapper alleged that Pasternak threatened to have him hospitalized, sharing some text messages between them.
In an interview on the Jason Lee Show in May last year, Owens referenced this incident and said:
“I will always love Ye. I will always defend him because I think he did one of the bravest things in speaking about what happened to him and the questions were never answered about what Harley Pasternak did to him that night.”
She alleged that Pasternak brought Kanye West to his house and drugged him before getting him admitted.
