Transfers

Transfers Made: 3 | Transfers Remaining: 144.

Credits Remaining: 2.

1) KL Rahul (DC) (WK) (10 Credits), – OUT | Jos Buttler (GT) (WK) (10 Credits) – IN

2) Noor Ahmad (CSK) (BOWL) (9 Credits) – OUT | Ashok Sharma (GT) (BOWL) (7 Credits) – IN

3) Suryakumar Yadav (MI) (BAT) (10.5 Credits) – OUT | Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR) (BAT) (10 Credits) – IN

Our transfers since the last couple of matches have been focused on getting the best possible set of players to use the Foreign Stars booster on in M10 – SRH vs LSG, and this match is no different.

We need some cheap budget enablers on the team who allow us to bring in the more expensive players, and as a result, we’re backing GT’s Ashok Sharma (7 credits) to come good in this clash. The seamer picked up a wicket on his IPL debut against PBKS, and seems like a genuine wicket-taker, capable of generating plenty of pace and bounce. RR’s Brijesh Sharma is another option priced at seven credits, whom we could consider.

Yashasvi Jaiswal made a pretty slow, yet unbeaten 38*, as RR cruised to a win over CSK in their opening clash, but he’ll welcome the change in conditions, as a batting paradise awaits. While he doesn’t have the best of records in the IPL at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the conditions and his high point-scoring ceiling make him a decent pick.

With none of the GT top order in particularly good form, there isn’t much to separate them as IPL Fantasy options. As such, we’re electing to punt on Jos Buttler for this fixture. He averages a healthy 59.1 and scores at a strike rate of 158.7 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, and is a pretty impressive captaincy option on paper.

Players playing in Match 9: Ashok Sharma (GT) (BOWL) (7 Credits), Jos Buttler (GT) (WK) (10 Credits), and Yashasvi Jaiswal (RR) (BAT) (10 Credits).

The captaincy pretty much picks itself for this match, with Buttler edging Jaiswal out, with the latter likely to be the vice-captain.
