Rohl demands Rangers remain hunters in title chase

With the top three separated by just five points with seven matches remaining, Rohl says the thrilling climax to the season is generating attention across Europe.

“I expect a really exciting split,” said the German. “You never know, it could be after two matchdays you are six points ahead, because the picture is like this. Or you have stolen three points from behind. You never know what happens.

“Maybe there are some turns, maybe not. I think this is exciting for everyone. Especially with three teams, and three teams at the moment are very close to each other. For a neutral supporter, a football fan, this is maybe one of the exciting title races in Europe at the moment.

“As a manager, you look forward, because you know with your group you can win this title. This is also a great feeling. And I’m looking forward to this.

“But you have to do it first two more games. Two more wins, and then you have a good position.”

Rangers have yet to beat Dundee United this season, with both previous matches finishing 2-2 after late goals for the Glasgow side.

“We know what we face and it will be a challenge,” added Rohl. “They have a small chance to make the top six and both teams want to win and we need a good performance.”
