After a little more than a year as U.S. attorney general, Pam Bondi is out.

“Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in crime across our Country, with murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900,” Trump wrote in his post.
“We love Pam, and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector, to be announced at a date in the near future.”
The post also said Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche would be stepping in to replace her in an acting capacity.

Widely described as a “Trump loyalist,” Thursday’s ouster came one day after a New York Times report suggested thoughts about replacing her began months ago as the President grew increasingly frustrated with how she handled the Epstein files, as well as her leadership of the U.S. Justice Department — including her reluctance to investigate and target Trump’s political foes.
