Even though Canada’s opponent for its FIFA World Cup opener in Toronto was just determined Tuesday, many of the resale tickets left for the international match come at a steep cost.

Sixty-ninth-ranked Bosnia and Herzegovina upset 12th-ranked Italy 4-1 in penalties on home soil in a playoff qualifier final — the teams were tied 1-1 after full time — to advance and become Canada’s first opponent.

Canada is currently set to play Bosnia on June 12 in Toronto, with two of its other group games scheduled for Vancouver. It’s also the first of six total games in Toronto, including a round of 32 match on July 2.

There were approximately 388 tickets remaining as of Tuesday evening on StubHub Canada, with the cheapest being $1,961 at BMO Field, known as Toronto Stadium for the World Cup. The most expensive came in at $130,766.

With FIFA’s official resale marketplace closed since Feb. 22 and not set to reopen until Thursday, secondary ticket platforms are currently the only option for fans seeking World Cup tickets.

Canada is in Group B, with 19th-ranked Switzerland and 55th-ranked Qatar rounding out the group. The top two teams from all 12 groups and the eight best third-place finishers advance to the knockout stage.
