Waterloo regional police have arrested six men as part of an investigation into truck, trailers and load thefts in the region.
Police completed search warrants in Kitchener and Hamilton on March 23. Police say throughout the investigation, officers retrieved a stolen tractor trailer and devices used to steal commercial vehicles as well as tracking devices, a GPS locating device and an electronic telecommunications jamming device.
Police said officers also found suspected heroin and suspect methamphetamine.
The men, who are from Brampton, Mississauga and Paris, face a combined 61 charges that include possession of stolen property, motor vehicle theft and extortion.
The men were held for a bail hearing and the investigation is ongoing.
