Canadiens defenceman Alexandre Carrier out two to four weeks with injury
Carrier, 29, last played Sunday, when he skated 19:05 in the Canadiens’ 3-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. It is unclear when the injury occurred.
The Quebec City native has appeared in all 73 games for the Canadiens on the season, registering seven goals and 15 assists.
He joined the Habs in a mid-season trade from the Nashville Predators in 2024-25. For his career between the two clubs, Carrier has 20 goals and 89 assists over 369 contests.
The Canadiens are back in action Tuesday, when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning in a key Atlantic Division showdown.
