Winnipeg police say they have reason to believe that a missing 26-year-old woman who was last seen in the North End on Saturday could be being held against her will.

Sherry Leclerc, 26, was last seen on Manitoba Avenue, between Charles and Salter streets,  sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Saturday, Winnipeg police said in a public notice on Sunday.

Police say they have reason to believe Leclerc is being held against her will.

Leclerc is described as five feet six inches tall, with a thin build, short straight brown hair and brown eyes, according to the release.

She was last seen wearing a turquoise sweatsuit with “Juicy” written in white, a white tank top, black winter jacket and black fur boots, police said. She has a tattoo of a rose on her right hand.

Anyone who sees  Leclerc is encouraged to call 911 immediately.

If you have information about her whereabouts, you are encouraged to call the major crimes unit at 204-986-6219 or after hours at 204-986-6222. Anonymous tips can be sent to Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
