Senators’ Jake Sanderson remains out, Lassi Thomson returns vs. Lightning
Defenceman Jake Sanderson will remain out Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning as he recovers from an injury.
Lassi Thomson will make his return to the lineup on the back-end.
Sanderson, 23, has been sidelined since suffering an upper-body injury on March 7 against the Seattle Kraken. He is travelling with the Senators on this Florida road trip.
Sanderson has tallied 11 goals and 37 assists in 62 games this season, and recently won a gold medal at the Winter Olympics with Team USA.
Thomson, 25, hasn’t played since his season debut on March 25. Through 19 career NHL games with the Senators, the Tampere, Fin., native has five assists.
The Senators currently sit one point back of a wild-card berth.
