Longueuil police investigate suspicious fire in St-Lambert commercial building

Longueuil police are helping to investigate a suspicious fire that broke out in an unoccupied commercial building Friday afternoon.

The Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL), along with the Longueuil fire department, were called around 3:15 p.m. Friday to a building on St-Charles Ave. in St-Lambert.

No injuries have been reported, according to a press statement from Longueuil police.

A police perimeter was set up around the scene and was still in place as of 5 p.m. as the SPAL investigates the cause and circumstances of the fire.

“Anyone with information regarding criminal activities committed within the SPAL jurisdiction may contact the Info-Azimut hotline at any time, anonymously,” at 450-646-8500, the SPAL wrote in a press statement.
