“Expecting some big rulings soon”: Perez Hilton reacts to rumors claiming Blake Lively “silenced” podcaster amid her legal drama with Justin Baldoni
Perez Hilton reacted to rumors claiming Blake Lively “silenced” the podcaster amid her legal drama with Justin Baldoni. In a video shared to X on March 26, he offered clarification for his recent absence, revealing that it was due to a serious health crisis.
“While I was missing an action, I really unplugged… I was in the hospital with severe sepsis for 21 days, but I’m home now and getting stronger and stronger and happy to be making videos again. And we’re expecting some big rulings soon,” Perez Hilton said.
He went on to describe how he first became aware of the rumors involving Blake Lively during his recovery. Perez Hilton explained that a friend had sent him a link to an online forum, referred to as “the red place,” where users were actively discussing his absence and speculating about the reasons behind it.
“And folks were speculating that Betty Butthole (referring to Blake Lively) had paid me off. So, let me share with you all the truth. No, the project poacher did not pay me. She did not silence me,” Perez Hilton added.
Hilton further emphasized that his coverage of the Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni legal drama would continue uninterrupted
Perez Hilton explains how medication mistake led to a 21-day hospital stay

Perez Hilton revealed that taking flu medication on an empty stomach resulted in a severe medical emergency that left him hospitalized for 21 days.
In a video shared to his YouTube channel on March 23, the podcaster described the ordeal as a “crazy saga,” as he explained:
“My stupidity landed me in the hospital for 21 days. It was the worst and best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Perez Hilton then detailed how his illness initially seemed manageable, as he had been dealing with flu symptoms for about a week. He emphasized that he did not engage in reckless behavior, noting that he was “not a partier” and did not “abuse things.”
He further added that before he “was hospitalized,” he had “flu for about a week.” He then clarified the critical mistake that triggered the complications, admitting that he had taken his prescribed medication incorrectly.
“I took the medication for the flu for a week. However, a big but, I didn’t take any of my medication with food. I never have, and you’re supposed to take all of this medication with food,” Perez Hilton added
As a result of this, Hilton said he developed a cascade of serious health issues, including an ulcer, a perforation, and eventually sepsis, a potentially fatal condition. He noted that “people die of sepsis” and admitted that he initially dismissed the warning signs.
By the following morning, however, his condition had deteriorated dramatically. He said he “couldn’t walk” and had to be transported to the hospital by ambulance.
“I ended up being there for 21 days. I felt like I knew everybody by the time I left…The first few days were a lot of pain and constant tests, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, because they couldn’t find where the perforation was. So that was scary,” Perez Hilton shared.
After five days, Hilton underwent laparoscopic surgery to locate the issue, explaining that doctors had to “flip around” his organs during the procedure.
When the infection persisted, he required another major intervention, during which medical staff inserted equipment to drain a significant amount of infection from his body. Despite these efforts, he said the sepsis continued to affect him, with his body “falling apart,” his heart becoming unstable and requiring medication, and an additional infection developing during his hospital stay.
When he eventually began eating again, he said the process was physically difficult and emotionally taxing.
He described it as “hard on the body” and “humiliating,” recalling that he experienced frequent accidents and had to repeatedly call for assistance, though he praised a nurse for being “kind and patient” throughout.
“It was just such a slow process. Two weeks of just sickness and then another week of getting better before I was released. Now that I am home, I am not 100%…It’s like a scary IV with two lines, and one goes to my heart,” Perez Hilton explained.
Reflecting on the experience, Hilton said it had changed his priorities. He pledged to spend more time with his loved ones, saying he would have dinner with his children and his mother every night, and expressed gratitude to his family for their support during the ordeal.
What’s the latest update in the Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni legal saga?

As per a Variety report dated February 11, 2026, in the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the two failed to settle Lively’s sexual harassment lawsuit.
According to the report, the co-stars of It Ends With Us participated in a daylong mediation session in federal court, overseen by Magistrate Judge Sarah L. Cave.
Despite spending hours in separate courtrooms on the 14th floor of a New York courthouse, the mediation ended without an agreement. Both Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal teams exited the building in silence, declining to address the gathered media.
Attorney Bryan Freedman, representing Baldoni, later confirmed that the talks had failed to produce a resolution. He suggested that while a settlement remained technically possible, it appeared unlikely at this stage.
Freedman’s remarks indicated a clear expectation that the dispute would proceed to trial, emphasizing his team’s readiness to move forward with litigation.
“I do. We’re looking forward to it,” he said (as per the report)
The mediation itself was part of standard federal procedure, as courts often required both sides to attempt resolution before proceeding to trial.
Although both Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal teams had previously engaged in in-person sessions with Judge Cave, there had been little indication that either side anticipated a breakthrough during the latest discussions.
At the center of the lawsuit were Blake Lively’s allegations that Baldoni engaged in inappropriate conduct during the filming of It Ends With Us. She further accused him of coordinating with publicists to launch a smear campaign against her after she raised concerns.
Baldoni’s legal team strongly pushed back against Blake Lively’s claims, arguing in a summary judgment motion that the accusations amounted to minor workplace disputes rather than actionable harassment. Their stance suggested that the claims fell short of the legal threshold required to proceed.
Meanwhile, Blake Lively’s side maintained that the situation was far more serious, pointing to similar concerns allegedly raised by other actors on set. Blake Lively’s legal team argued that the nature and pattern of the allegations warranted a full trial, where a jury could determine their validity.
While recovering from his recent health complications and surgery, Perez Hilton has remained active, continuing to engage audiences through his YouTube podcast and personal blog, where he regularly shares updates and insights on the entertainment world.
The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is set to move forward, with the trial scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026.
